Figurative Project
My figurative project was a joint project with Maya, we decided to create semi abstract ribs and lungs out of wire. The most difficult part during the project was creating the form of the lungs, which I was in charge of. I used my hands as a guide to create the dimension and used different sized wires to hold it together. I formed it by also weaving the wires together.
My Relief project was done with wood, hot glue, toothpicks, and acrylic paint. It relates to nature in the sense that this woman is in fear, pain, and seems to be starved while bathing herself. Her face is blocked by a variety of colors that represent both the beauty and insanity of a natural habitat. The toothpicks are built up to be a dark, evil, spined entity coming from the depths of the water.
