Kaleidoscope Jimi Hendrix
Today I will be showing you how to make any picture(like this one of Jimi Hendrix) a Kalidescope effect using pics art on your iPhone. First you want to download pics art from the App Store and open it up.
Once you get into picsart you want to click the Orange button in the middle which will bring up four options. You're going to want to choose the first option and choose a photo from your camera roll.
After you have your photo you're going to go into the FX folder in the bottom left corner and go down to the folder "distort".
After doing that I went to the mirror effect and afjusted the image.
There are 4 different mirror settings to play with which will give you different effects. Once I was satisfied with that I mirrored it once again vertically and adjusted it.
I then added a filter to make the colors pop more.
After adjusting the colors, brightness, and saturation I have my final product. Now I only used the mirror effect twice on this one but you can always use it as many times as you want to get a more Kalidescope feel to it. You can also go into your tool folder and go to 'clone' and you can clone different areas to make it seem a bit trippier, like the image below. This was all done in the exact same way except I used some of the clone tool in certain areas. The picture you use gives you a different ending product.
Question.
The similarity between process and product in the animation industry is very important. To get a certain product you have to play around with the process. It's very similar to painting or drawing you layer things and erase things and add things. At first I thought everybody has their own process to achieve a certain product but everything is honestly the same process. People have their own different ideas but they all use the same process. When I first signed up for Computer arts and Animation I thought I would learn lots of things to do in Photoshop which I did, but I also thought it could improve my photography greatly which it also has. I've learned some very cool techniques through this class and had lots of success from it.
